若说《飞鸟集》是一条溪流，《吉檀迦利》则是一片汪洋。《吉檀迦利》是Gitanjali的音译，意为献歌，是献给神的诗歌。诗作大多以I（我）对Thou（You，你）诉说的形式展开，Thou是God（神），对于有宗教信仰者，可以把自己所信仰的神代入，对于没有宗教信仰者，可把神当作一个远古的智者，一个睿智的长辈，一个知心的朋友，或是心灵深处的另一个自己，每一首诗都像静夜的一次促膝长谈。

拉宾德拉纳特??泰戈尔（RabindranathTagore）（1861年5月7日—1941年8月7日），印度诗人、文学家、哲学家和社会活动家，1913年以《吉檀迦利》成为亚洲首位诺贝尔文学奖得主，是享誉世界的文学大师。他精通文学、音乐和绘画，一生著述颇丰，涵盖小说、剧本、诗歌、政论等，尤以诗歌成就非常高，被尊为“诗圣”，代表作有《吉檀迦利》《飞鸟集》《新月集》《园丁集》等。 黄华勇，1984年生于湖南郴州，2008年毕业于南开大学商学院人力资源管理系，从事企业管理，先后在天津、厦门、佛山、北京等地工作，现居湖南。自幼酷爱读书，大学期间以“仗剑书生”（ID：huayong）为名在“我爱南开”BBS发表书评、散文、诗歌20余万字，获评优秀原创写手。2015年12月开始译泰戈尔作品，译笔灵动、简洁、优雅。
