本书再版修订与时俱进,体现了时代性。

张富生，华北水利水电大学教授，校哲学社会科学学术委员会委员，河南省社会科学院兼职研究员，校级教学名师（曾获“汪胡桢奖”）， “英语国家概况”省级一流本科课程线上线下混合式课程负责人，“英语国家概况”省级本科高校课程思政示范课程负责人。近年来主持、参与国家社科基金、省部级科研项目多项，出版译著《文化河南》及“国际水文化译丛”（《水概念》、《水伦理》、《水权利》、《水安全》、《水和平》、《国际水法》、《水紧缺》等），在《外语学刊》等学术刊物发表学术论文50余篇。创建有“英语国家研究网站” “英汉水文化术语语料库”等。
