格洛丽亚·K. 费尔罗（Gloria K. Fiero）在纽约出生和长大，于加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校取得艺术史硕士学位，后于弗罗里达州立大学获得博士学位。费尔罗教授从事人文传统、世界历史和艺术史的教学已经超过三十年。1996年，人文教育研究协会（Humanities Education and Research Association）正式设立了“格洛丽亚·费尔罗”人文传统讲座系列，用来纪念费尔罗教授在人文传统教学与研究领域的贡献。该项目每年举办学术讲座和演出，深受学生和学者欢迎。
