《汉语乐园》是一套以海外小学生为读者对象的初级儿童汉语教材，是国家汉办的重点教材项目。2005年出版英语版第1版，此后陆续推出了45个语种的入门级分册（相当于第1级）。目前，该套教材已行销全球50多个国家和地区，在海外中小学广泛使用，是*受欢迎的海外儿童汉语教材。 从2013年开始北京语言大学出版社对本教材进行修订和后续编写。第2版全套教材共分为6级，适用于海外小学和国内国际学校1-6年级学生。每级包括：课本（配套CD 1张）、练习册（配套CD 1张）、词语卡片（各语种版本通用）、教师用书（各语种版本通用）、同步阅读、测试题、多媒体学习光盘4张。 本册是第2版英语版课本2，包括6个单元，12课，每课教授1～2个汉字，10个左右生词，1个基本句型。具体内容有：互动句型、生词、汉字学习，图解中国文化母语介绍，手工、歌曲、故事等多种游戏活动。学完本册，学生会说一些简单的句子，会唱一些中文儿童歌曲，了解一些中国文化。

刘富华，吉林大学国际语言学院副院长兼文学院副院长。研究领域涉及对外汉语教学研究、国际汉语教材研究、汉语国际教育研究。自1985年以来，一直从事对外汉语教学工作。主持完成国家汉办重点规划教材项目多项，出版《语言学通论》《汉语语音教程》等著作和国际汉语教材5部，发表汉语国际教育等方面的学术论文30余篇。
